When the call went out on the military side for puzzles and board games for the troops, the America The Beautiful® brand stepped up fast. We immediately bought and shipped to SupportOurTroops® over 2,000 board games and puzzles! They inspected and repackaged them as per mil specs, and shipped them forward to the troops in the war zones and AOCs (areas of conflict) overseas that week.
Why all the fuss? Cell phones, notebooks, laptops, DVD players, CD players, and most all personal electronic devices now can’t be kept or used in all operational areas because the enemy can target the signal locations with ordiance. Which leaves the question, how to fill the downtime? Good old fashioned board games and puzzles!
